The Google Porn Game: Redux

This was featured on this blog several months ago until I deleted everything. Something funny that I have noticed about Google Images is that when you type in practically any female first name with SafeSearch turned off, chances are you’ll get a lot of porn images. It is fiendishly difficult to search for a girl’s name and not be confronted with lots of boobs, lots of arse and other private bits.

If one things is true, it’s that Google has nailed returning the most relevant image searches for a user’s query, eh? ;)

Matt at SEO Tunes noticed that “Gertrude” was a porn-free name, but this one of the only exceptions to the rule so far. As long as you’re not cheeky and type in states or locations like “Dakota” and “India” or names of flowers such as “Rose” and “Jasmine” (although there’s still porn for a search for Jasmine)…

So, if anyone wants to play, post your porn-free first girl’s name searches here… I won’t hold my breath. I’ve come across “Mia”… (which I’ve just been told has a hardcore porn image on the first page after all).

    I still play it in my more bored moments. I’m pretty sure “Bronwen” comes up clean as does “Bertha”.

    I just found “Sky”, but is anyone named that apart from the girl from Neighbours? As for Bertha, a woman with massive knockers has made it onto the first page - not sure if it qualifies as porn though.
